Our mission is to monitor legislative developments, and coordinate with IIAT and IIABA on action plans which will benefit the insurance buying public, and the insurance industry as a whole. The committee coordinates with the Trustees of the Insurance Men/Women’s Political Action Committee (IMPACT) to encourage our members to contribute, so our association is in a position to provide financial assistance to candidates who support our legislative positions. In addition, the Legislative Committee identifies and recruits individual IIAH members to serve as “key contacts” for the Legislators from Harris and surrounding counties.
